How we handle your information.
Alkemia is an advisory practice based in São Paulo, Brazil. This site exists to communicate the practice and to receive inbound contact from executives considering an engagement. The data we touch is narrow on purpose; this page describes exactly what we collect, why, and how to ask us to remove it.
Information we collect
Inbound email. When you write to us at contact@alkemia.io, we receive your name, email address, and the content of your message. That is sufficient to reply.
Newsletter (when offered). If you subscribe to a newsletter or download a brief, the form submits your email (and any optional fields you choose to fill) to MailerLite, our email service provider. MailerLite handles delivery and unsubscribe.
Site analytics. The site runs on Cloudflare, which logs technical request metadata, such as the IP address, for security and aggregate traffic measurement.
Two measurements run on this page, and both post their data to alkemia.io
itself. Cloudflare's script loads from static.cloudflareinsights.com; ours is
served by the site itself.
The first is ours: our own Plausible installation, on infrastructure we operate. There are no cookies, no local storage and no persistent identifier. What is recorded is the page, the referrer, the country, and the device type, browser and operating system. IP address and user agent are not stored: they feed a daily identifier, discarded every 24 hours, which cannot recognise you from one day to the next.
The second is Cloudflare's, which measures audience and performance from the platform side
(/cdn-cgi/rum). Cloudflare
states publicly
that this measurement uses no cookies and no local storage and does not track visitors over
time by IP address or user agent. That is Cloudflare's
claim about its own product, not something we have verified.
How we use it
Inbound email is used only to respond to you and to evaluate whether an engagement makes sense. Newsletter data is used only to send the messages you subscribed to. Server logs are reviewed only when investigating an incident or aggregate traffic patterns.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing.
Third parties
We rely on a small number of operational vendors to run the site and the practice. Each has its own privacy commitments:
- Cloudflare: hosting and CDN.
- MailerLite: newsletter delivery (when applicable).
- Email provider: inbound and outbound mail at the
alkemia.iodomain.
Your rights
Under Brazil's LGPD and the EU GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, port, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw consent for newsletter communications at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@alkemia.io. We will respond within 15 days. To unsubscribe from a newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any message; it removes you immediately at MailerLite.
Children
This site is intended for executive and professional audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we update the date at the top of the page and, when appropriate, notify newsletter subscribers. The current version is always at alkemia.io/en/privacy.
